Orbital UAV selected to represent Team Defence Australia at AUSA
Orbital UAV has been selected by Team Defence Australia to be part of the Australian defence industry delegation at AUSA 2021 – the annual conference and expo for the Association of the United States Army.
Alongside 23 other companies on the Australia National Pavilion, Orbital UAV will demonstrate its growing capability within the unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) sector to US Defense, industry and other partners. As the largest land power exposition and professional development forum in North America, AUSA delivers the Army’s message by highlighting the capabilities of organisations and presenting a wide range of industry products and services.
“We’re proud to have been selected as part of the Team Defence Australia delegation for this international flagship event,” said Keith Hirschman, VP Global Growth at Orbital UAV.
“Our existing contracts with US Defense prime contractors like Textron Systems and Boeing-Insitu have established Orbital UAV as a world leader in the design and manufacture of integrated propulsion systems for tactical UAVs. We are now leveraging those relationships and the capabilities associated with those contracts to further build our reputation within US Defense and continue our customer diversification strategy. AUSA represents a fantastic forum in which to do that,” said Mr Hirschman.
The US Army is currently conducting the Future Tactical Unmanned Aircraft System (FTUAS) Program to identify its next generation of tactical UAV.
Orbital UAV has operations in Perth, Australia and Oregon, USA and delivers integrated propulsion systems and associated technologies into the world’s largest suppliers of tactical UAVs.
